In June we got this email asking would we be interested in being included in a story for a magazine on the burgeoning chocolate scene in Raleigh. Since we never heard of the magazine, we looked it up and quickly jumped at the opportunity.
Next email we got was from a photographer from the magazine, asking what days we would be available for a group photo. We met downtown in the Raleigh Depot area at 8:30am. Luckily there was plenty of coffee on hand thanks to Videri. We were brought down an alleyway to a location they chose and were instructed where to sit and stand etc. More photos were taken against a different terracotta brick wall but they didn't make the cut. At the end of the session, we exchanged and tried each others chocolates.
Next contact was to set up a time for the "interview". The time was set for some evening afterwork down at our warehouse/production area. Scott, the author of the article dropped by and we sat and chatted for about half an hour and then showed him around where we make our chocolates and candy.
The three of us talked, and laughed, sampled some chocolates and explained our process. About 2 hours later the interview was over.
Let's hope this is the first of many articles about GerDan Chocolates.
